Ayman led two events held by the Columbia Neuroscience Society. During the Fall of 2017, she presented her scientific research on Mindfulness and Meditation for our event, Meditation for Skeptics. During the Spring of 2018, she followed up the previous event with a series of applicable tools and personal recommendations for integrating Mindfulness and Meditation in our lives. Ayman's background is outstanding, making her advice truly relatable and impactful. Not only is her public speaking and scientific knowledge exceptional but her teaching and incorporation of meditation techniques is life changing. Before even starting a meditation, she aims to get in touch with each participant in the audience and learn about them--their challenges, concerns, and perspectives. By being patient, respectful, genuine and extremely kind she has not only encouraged and motivated her us to practice Meditation but also to keep learning about the intermingling of science and mindfulness.
